Once again, Bassbusters placed in the "Future Pro" tournament on May 10th. With over 100 boats it is pretty impressive that we placed 6th!

It was great to hear that some other bassbusters fished the tourney as well!

Congratulations to John and Ryan who brought back some cash in their wallets!

Go Bassbusters! :D

Thanks everyone. It was awesome! We are both beat up and cut up from working the tulles all day. Here's how it went. Blasted # 46, 2nd flight and burned about 1/8th of a gallon of gas, 2 min run to south franks. Happy as hell to be the first on our spot and fishing the last few hours of an incoming. We start flippin beavers. 10 min in Ryan puts a 3 lbr on the boat, one of 10 we had that day. I stick a few more 3's and then Ryan sticks a 6+. Kept working south and I pulled a 7.5 (big fish). 23 lbs before 10. Headed south to the outside of Mandeville and nothing but rats. The cool thing was the camera boat filmed us for about a 1/2 hour and we held up our good fish for a camera shot. It's about noon and we decide to hit Mildred. Go to start the boat, dead cranking battery. I swap it with one of the trolling motor batteries and get it started. I know it's under capacity for my cranking battery load, especially with the live wells running, so to play it safe we head back to our line in franks so we can be close enough to weigh in to get help if needed with time to spare. Keep working and culled all the 3's by about a half a pound each. Hit's 2 pm and we are pushing hard for one more fish. Ryan switches to the jig and I stay with the beaver and keep catching fish but Ryan stays true and nails another 7 lbr. Then we really pick up the pace because we knew it would take one more of those to win but it wasn't in the cards. Total weight 27.95, 6th place and $800 bucks. Big thanks to Spiro and Chen sticking around to support us (BB for life!).
