I hope the Tx Committee is ok with me saying something here... I've been called several times regarding cancellations;

The tourny may be cancelled if weather conditions prohibit us from safely conducting a tournament. The tournament committee will decide at the lake (Capell Cove Ramp) if the conditions are unfavorable. If need be, the tournament chairman will announce any changes to the normal routine to account for the conditions.

Above all, you should know your limitations and not endager yourself or your partner should the weather become too severe for safe fishing and boating. Whether or not the weigh-in time is 4pm, if its too dangerous, come back and/or seek shelter. And by all means, have your cell phones ready with contact numbers should you need assistance or simply to let someone know you're safe.

This isn't meant to scare anyone, just stating the obvious.

Everyone pray for sunshine and no wind! Maybe the weather will give us a compromise :D

If its too nasty we could always drive around and launch in the narrows at Markley.

Just to let some of you guys on the update conditions. As of 02/22/08 9:17PM it will be mostly cloudy tomorrow morning and rain + wind late in the afternoon....Lets just hope that the weather stablizes until our tourney is over. Anything can change in a matter of hours....

I totaly understand if the weatehr is bad at blast off. but as you all seen this saturday, Weather men are wrong more times than they are right. It is always the old gloom & doom thing. It sounds better if they say it is going to be a very big storm, but most of the time it is never as big as they say it is going to be.

I think it is stupid for terneys to cancel before the day of the terny. if the weather is bad at launch time & you need to cancel, that is fine but to cancel it 1 to 2 days before sucks. I am glad we wait till the morning of the ternys to make that call.
