Seen it opening night. Obviously no spoilers but it ranks top 3 with Episodes 5 and 6 for me!

Rey was able to do all this because she is Luke's daughter. She had previous training under luke but then kylo ren killed everyone at the academy including Luke's lover/wife whom ever that may be. Luke wipes Rey's mind and drops her off at Jakku. Evidence? During interrogation she remembers a planet full of water with a few islands on it. That and the new disney 2.0 universe game or whatever it is has kylo ren saying "face me cousin". This would explain why she was able to defeat ren in battle and why she was able to remember the force mind trick abilities. It's officially been confirmed by disney she is luke's daughter.

20:30 is the time slot when ben solo says that.

Also Han dying wasn't a huge deal for me. I was keeping up with who was resigning for episode 8 and I knew harison ford hated the character. Honestly, wasn't bad but wasn't good. It wasn't really original since it basically took episode 4 and rehashed it with new characters. Although it did what it was intended to do, satiate the nostalgia in the old folks, and introduce the characters to the new. Overall it was good for me and I'm satisfied.

Also, supreme leader snoke=darth plaguis, calling it.

You know just for the heck of it but what if Rey was Starkiller's (Galen Marek) and Juno Eclipse's daughter instead of Luke like most people think?

A great beginning film.

Didn't enjoy the beginning, the dark silhouette star destroyer, the faulty lighting in the storm trooper transport.

The starkiller planet was sitting there for how long and the resistance never acted on it in the 30 years since ROTJ, but suddenly it take out an entire system and it becomes a priority?

Poe taking out all those ties in such a small area of the sky in such tight turns seemed forced.

And Luke gets 45 seconds of face time and no dialog.

Sith hissy fits too.

It almost feels like they cramed 1.5-2 movies into one rushed production.

BB-8 was enjoyable.

Everything he said, especially Darth Plaguis. It's just so obvious.

Except I disagree on the "mediocre" rating. I think it was an incredible movie and now that they've shown they can do Star Wars they way the people want it, they are free to go ahead and get a more original story moving. Can't wait to see the more badass fight between trained Rey and uninjured, masterfully trained Kylo Ren. It's going to be amazing.

Only thing that doesn't make sense about Rey being Luke's daughter is why didn't Han recognize her? Han went back to smuggling *after* Luke vanished, which means he should definitely recognize his own niece. However a lot of the pieces fit together for her to be Luke's daughter.
