sure Caelum, 2 things really;

1. Variable width sites - that is to say site that flow to fill the size of the browser, as i use a huge monitor it makes site looks ugly, whereas if the content is fixed and centered i believe it makes the site look much better (can provide some examples if you wish)

2. All over background pictures, simple patterns/gradiants/colours are fine, but i find pictures like that distracting and off putting. a background image faded into the header is good but not all over.

Let me know if you want me to explain any of these better :D

Nah don't think so. Not for this guy anyway. I will stick to IE as I always have, usually with no issues. I will just stop coming here until its fixed or gone. See you all on the server, or from my phone which uses something different than IE as the bar does not show up there. JKHub is an awesome thing, however there is still the coding problem. Least I guess that is where the issue lies. I don't know, I'm not a doctor. What I do know is that rather than suggesting we get new browsers(which I am certainly not going to do) how bout we get a fix. Through many sites IE is listed in the top 5, around 3rd or 4th depending on the site. Still its in the top 5. That tells me there are plenty of people who use it, and love it everyday. If this is the case, there is something that ought to be able to be done to fix the issue. In the end, if we can cross platform an entire browser(like firefox), we ought to be able to cross platform the coding for this JKHub bar. Lastly not that I care overmuch, because I can use my phone JKhub free, I would still love to see the AoF site back to looking normal. FIX THE BAR. Please for the love of Yoda, FIX THE BAR! Lol it's late, sorry for the rant, I am a bit under the weather. Ok more than a bit, I can't even keep water down right now. See my frustrations? I'm dehydrated, and can't see all of the clan site. It's a travesty, and we(IE users having issues) want our portal back.

No disrespect intended toward anyone (or thing),
Padawan Hawk
That reads like you're going through a sulking phase. I doubt that gives you a very good image.

There are only really 5 browsers that people care about, and IE and Safari are only on that list because they already loaded onto the operating system. Chrome and Firefox are great because people choose to have them, and they actually have to go out of their way to install them onto their computer too.

Your stats mean nothing, though your choice to remain on internet explorer is entirely your own, though praise for it is completely baffling.

Sorry for the off topic, but I have joyfully praised the Hub, but temper tantrums often need a little talking to, though this was more just defending a browsers honour. ^_^

At this point, you'll have to wait for Apollo to implement the fix I sent, I guess. In the meantime, though, you should still be able to use http://s6.zetaboards.com/Angels_Of_Fire/ instead of http://aof-clan.com/main.html for bar-free browsing.
The Council is currently waiting to hear from ID on the matter, as he is the one with FTP access to the webhost server. I should add that he has been preoccupied as of late.

Thanks for your patience, Hawk.

I've heard this one several times, actually. You'll be happy to know we have a fixed width style available; in the bottom left corner, click the 'change theme' link, then click 'JKHub Fixed Width'. It should set a cookie to save your preference as well. :)

Yeah, can't really do anything about that I guess. We do have a 'lite' style available as well that comes without background image if it irks you too much, but it's such a large part of the design, there's really not much else to do about it. Thanks for the feedback though. :P

Didn't spot the themes down there, glad you have that there :D Have gone for the lite version without the image as the fixed width version becomes a bit crowded due to the layout of the site, but i can live with it not being fixed width without that picture :P

-edit-

Just uploaded a file or 2 that I have had knocking around for a while. That has to be the easiest file submit i have used in a long time!
