Mkay so ever since I updated my drivers awhile back I've been getting all sorts of messed up textures in JA. Earlier I removed all drivers from my computer and installed the latest ones and still have the problem. Certain textures appear as just a shiny silver spot and on ffa5 the center of the main platform has turned dark gray (pictured below). The other problem is my menu screens get this strange effect on em. Interestingly the only games I've been having any such issues with are Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast. Everything else works fine. In JO I get similar texture issues in addition to the HUD doing this weird moving thing. Any help would be appreciated. Taspir and esc menu pic: Posted Image |

Tried dumbing down the graphic quality in JKA? Or dumbing down the resolution of the game on your screen? |

Resolution is custom. Anything else I get about an inch of nothing on either side of it and it's to small. I've been using it since I installed the game. Only thing that's changed is my drivers. |

Well you can try to download and install your old drivers, but that might cause compatibility issues with other programs. Echo |

have you got a screen of the might help to identify the problem. The menu bar looks a bit strange like the effects in the backgorund are brighter..... and the ffa center but looks like a custom texture, So i dont really know what could have gone wrong there. However sounds like it would have been caused by a custom shader, or map. but would have to see some of the other textures to say for sure. |

sett all of your video settings back to default. turn off video sync, turn off shadows and filtering and glows and all that add them one by one till it stops working then remember what was broke |

It's a long process, but... Uninstall JKA and JKO from your PC, do not back up any content. You will need fresh downloads. Reboot your PC. Uninstall your graphics card driver, then use DriverSweeper (http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/) and clean out all drivers for your graphics card from your PC. Reboot your PC. Reinstall your graphics card driver from your manufacturer's website, not the driver wizard from Windows. Reboot your PC. Reinstall your games, redownload all your stuff, redo your configurations. Problem should be solved. |

Followed your steps. After uninstalling the drivers the ATI thing wouldn't install the new drivers. Just wanted to do the control center and it's other stuff =/ Ran it several times and the drivers still wouldn't install. Not that big a deal. I've been playing with it for awhile. Only reason I tried to fix it now is because the HUD thing on JO was extremely annoying. |

Did you run Driver sweeper, and are you positive that your drivers are for the correct card? Try re-seating your graphics card as well. |

Care to tell me how to reset my card? Other then that I've tried everything that's been suggested. EDIT: Curse my small Leon brain. I had the proper section for my drivers but not the proper download. We'll see if it works. |
