My friend got a new HD TV ACL/LCD 47" and he got a ps3 and bought an HDMI cable to plug the ps3 to the tv but it doesn't seem to work.. Anyone got a HD TV with a ps3 that could give us a clue? Cause he doesn't know if, even with the HDMI cable, he has to plug the 3 multicolor wire that normally plug in the tv.

With any HDMI cable it is both Video and Audio, no need to use the other one.

You may need to enable an HDMI Output setting in the PS3, as I had to with my 360, and make sure he's on the correct HDMI channel... most TVs now have 3 or 4 HDMI Outlets.
