This really makes me want to play SRO.... maybe I'll give it a try on the weekend. Just one question:

Is it -relative- easy to get clothing you like? (Not anything special, I mean more of fashion than good stats and such atributes)

there isnt that much customization when it comes to clothes. its all the same. armor usually determines lvl. its how i pick my kills in PVP :/ the good clothes require silk (real money). i need to reinstall it

Awesome...

how this video shows only the "good" aspects of SRO. You spend hours logging in, only to get booted within a couple of hours. It takes months, if not a year or more to get to any level of significance. You have to deal with hundreds of bots taking every grinding material you need at lower-mid levels. The quests aren't even comprehensible most of the time, and they don't give any real significant rewards. The only choices for armor you get is 3 different types every so many levels, and it's one piece at a time. The graphics are far outdated and you can't really get much of an FPS advantage on any machine due to the coding. I've tried so hard to stick with the game, and the incessant grindfest and mind numbingly agonizing time it takes to log in has broken me.

There are good and bad aspects of Silkroad. The server is mostly full, but since I started to play again after my major break I still haven't had to spend more than 15 minutes trying to get in. All depends on luck of course...

When it comes to fashion, if you want "outfits" you have to spend real money buying them. But the ingame armor - especially garment - is sometimes very interesting and fashionable. And at lower levels you get to change it quite often.

My major issue with the game has been server traffic. But when I get in, there's really not much that bothers me. I'm not a PVP person, so I don't get too annoyed at people who have "cheated" their way to uber-power. I just like to quest and explore and enjoy the amazing scenery, because it is a VERY beautiful game. :)

As for the graphics, you can choose how advanced you want them to be. My PC can only handle the game well if I have graphics on lowest settings, so I'm quite happy they're not more advanced than this - otherwise I wouldn't be able to play it. :P

I will happily answer any questions about skills, quests, alchemy, NPC's, locations etc etc. you may have. The only aspects I'm not too familiar with are the PVP ones - capefights and jobs, fortress wars and CTF.

When I go to play a game, I prefer to be able to access that game when I choose. I've never ever had any other game take 15 minutes or longer to log in the server (without a major connection issue being at fault).

Thanks but no thanks.

Compared to the 1-1ฝ hours it could usually take to get in, 15 minutes is acceptable to me. :)

But I completely understand those who don't wanna play SRO, I'm not trying to "convert" anyone.

an hour and a half?!?!?! O_O

X_X too long for Kaelin to wait. I think I'll stick to JA.

Looks like a great game though, I just haven't got the patience for it.
