both have good deals, fast shipping, and the lowest prices available.

Tiger has some neat guides to building your own PC, including what to look for and how to figure out what you need to make it work.

Tiger is also currently offering a special of $1 shipping on all orders over $100

Or wait a year for Windows 7 to come out so they can retire the blunder that is Vista.

Windows 7 will be 64 bit, offer all and more features than Vista.

Windows 7 will require HALF the system requirements than Vista does, while still being able to make use of 8-16GB of RAM if you have it from old Vista legacy machines.

For building a new PC you will need:

Motherboard
CPU
CPU cooler
Memory (RAM)
Hard drive
DVD/CD burner
Computer Case (Tower)
Video Card
Keyboard
Mouse
Monitor

Start with the motherboard
Select a CPU (processor) that matches the slot on the motherboard (ex. AMD CPU will probably require the AM2 slot)
Compatable Memory for the Motherboard (DDR 400, 533, 600, etc... up to 1066 I believe)
A video card that is PCI-E (most newer motherboards come with PCI-E slots)
Hard drive (SATA)
A suitable case to contain and cool it all.
A CPU cooler that is designed for the type of CPU you purchase.

make sure your motherboard has PCI-E 2.0 as all newer graphics cards are optimized for that.

the motherboard is is not compatible with the CPU you picked. You can either pick an Intel CPU, or find a socket AM2/AM2+ motherboard.

Here's an AMD motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813135085

You need a desktop hard drive, not a notebook one.

Try: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822136178

Much cheaper too.

Also, look for DDR2 1066 memory instead of DDR2 800.

You'll also need a Molex 4-pin to SATA 15-pin converter for your hard drive... I found that out the hard way =P

Here's one:
