Just finished the first book. Going to see the movie when I get a chance and some money.

Everyone I've talked to so far said it was really good but Alice doesn't play a major role at all, which is dissapointing.

Yes, it was a great movie! I would definatly go see it again. ^_^ It was a bit dissapointing that their was much development and it all seemed really fast but overall I loved it.

-revive- Seeing as how the release was WEEKS ago this topic is now open to spoilers.

I am greatly saddend by the lack of A) character development and B) Lack of the other Cullens. Seeing as how we dont see much of them again till Breaking Dawn (when they actually have a big role again) it really does prove to be a pain. I really like Alice and Jasper. Both are my favorite characters (other than the mains of course) and poor Jasper and Emmet got like 2 lines a piece that werent even in the book :/. Luckily we will have a new director for the new movie....though the reason why makes me fear for the end result. (She left cause she wanted to have more time to work on the movie. Summit wants it out late 09 early 2010) Overall i liked it. Yes there were cheesy parts like ID said. Somethings only work in a book (Lion/lamb talk anyone?) That and the meadow scene was ALL wrong. Though I am a strong Team Edward supporter I will definatly be going to see New Moon (hopefully get another Midnight Showing like i did with twilight :D). Mainly cause I feel Jacob is the only character at this point with any development. Keep your fingers crossed :x

rofl. sorta the same thing here, they talk abt it so much. Started reading the first book, but I totally put it down. I fear this one's a great book, but tilted for teenage girls more than anyone else.

Amazing? These novels suck.

A preppy girl who teachers and students alike love and a personality-less vampire meet up, have no chemistry at all, but decide to fall in love anyway.

Thumbs down, teeny vampire angst novelette.

There should be "Warning: This is not an epic vampire movie. Your money shall not be refunded." before they play the film

I don't really care, I respect the fact that it can get people who don't ordinarily read to give it a try. That's pretty damn impressive.

By far the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life.

Terrible Acting. Terrible Directing. Terrible special effects. Lack of development of the characters or plot. The male vampires were wearing Lipstick. The sound track was even terrible.

The acting was so stiff it made made Amidala in Phantom Menace look like the Goddess of acting. The special effects reminded me of B movies from the 80s. Seriously, Evil Dead had better effects. When it comes to Vampires, this movie made Blood Rayne look fan-freaking-tastic.

I was so annoyed at this movie, I was ready to leave a half hour in and demand my money back. The only problem was is I came with my GF who wanted to see it.

I would imagine that any reason you can find to take up reading would be worth while. Can't go wrong when you take the time to expand your mind by reading.
