I love my new comp but at the same time I hate it.... Always a problems -_- my hard drive seems to full itself while I install nothing o.O and its not just a little, its about 8 GO every 3-4 days..... When I first had it, it was at 604GB, I checked 3 or 4 days later and I noticed it was at 596GO. I said to myself, well Its maybe because I installed a game's demo. 4 or 5 days later... down at 581GO. I said wtf its maybe vista or windows update. 2 days ago it was at 575GO and now today its down at 567GO.... I look up on websites and some peoples say its a virus, I did like 5 scans with AVG, one with Windows Defender(specialized software) and Spybot. Nothing found.... It could be a disfunction in my hard drive too. Any ideas? |

Sounds like a bug to me. Do you have Vista? >:) You might consider using a Disk Cleaner (Disk Cleaner, CCleaner etc.). This one is relatively simple: Disk Cleaner This eliminates any temporary files. If you don't mind losing your cookies and such, it would be a good idea. Just right-click and select all, then Run it. Good luck. Tß |

Nuke and Pave. Format the drive, reinstall. If the issue continues then chances are the drive is bad. If the issue does not continue then you had a virus. |
