I'll say this for anyone unclear on where to put files.

This is the major rundown and it applies to all modifications to the game:
Placing a file in base will make it a "base" file as the name so cleverly implies. Everything in the base folder is loaded into default JKA, and every single mod that launches through JKA. Now then, here is where you can really customize your game to your preference based on mods. Placing a pk3 into a folder such as Japlus, ForceMod III, MBII, xMod, Clanmod, etc... etc... will force the file to only be loaded into JKA when that specific mod for that folder is executed. Those of you who use my conversion pack, here is why I have you place it in both base and Japlus: Some of you will load your game directly through the default Jedi Academy launcher window, thus your game goes to base first then loads Japlus when you connect to the server being what the server runs on. (Same applies for any other serverside mod.) If you only had the file in your japlus folder, no effects would be seen until after you have connected to the server and your game has been forced to load japlus. If you place it in base only, you will see the effects when your game launches, but there is a catch. Many of the customized parts will be overwritten when japlus launches when connected to the server by the files associated with the mod. Having it in both Base and Japlus folders counteract that issue and will load first when you enter game, and a second time when you connect to server. On the other hand, if you wish to have certain files in a certain mod, but do not want them in base and wish to have the features available right away when you start up your game, you will need to take advantage of the MSDOS Batch files included with mods. You will see in gamedata if you installed your mod (Japlus and the likes) correctly files such as Play_Japlus.bat or Play_MBII.bat. Those are batch files that trigger a command line to load directly through a certain folder bypassing the default game. In order to make it simpler on yourself, right click the .bat and click Create Shortcut. You can rename, change icon, and move that shortcut anywhere you would like to have it (Desktop for myself) and use that to launch the mod you wish to play. By doing so, you will cut down the amount of files in your folders by picking which mod to place it in. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART SO PAY ATTENTION: If you are experiencing ANY animation issues on non-base jka mods, it is an issue with a file you have in either the base folder or the folder of that mod. If it is an Asset file SPECIFICALLY labeled for a certain mod, do NOT place it in base no matter what the readme tells you. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU! For example, japlus_anims will go and always go in your Japlus folder. MBBaseAssets will go and always go in your MBII folder. Once this is done and you still encounter animation issues, find any file in your base or mod folders that contains with the pk3 the directory to file line "models/players/_humanoid/_humanoid.gla". If it does, delete the _humanoid folder and save the .pk3. In order to edit .pk3 files, you can do one of two options, 1. Use WinRar archiver (Free program for .zip and .rar), open the .pk3 with it and when you click save it, select .zip and in the file name line type (Name).pk3 and it will have changed; or 2. Use Pakscape, you can find it on Filefront or just google it and you'll find somewhere that hosts it. That should be enough information for now, any questions just ask.

Allow me to clarify

I put it in JA+ because I ONLY wanted it in JA+

Didn't want it in SP or MB

Well then I clap for you because unlike about a fair 80% of the Jedi Academy community does not have the intelligence or care to figure out how the game actually works with such types of things, then they run into problems, complain about it, and just say screw it I don't care and delete it when it isn't simple enough for them to fix it without any effort.

Warlock, nowhere in that post was something about you said. Why do you have to butt in with your unnecessary comments? I was giving him credit for something most people dont take the effort to do/

I too was giving credit for something most people don't do. Criticizing people for trivial things, just not enough people do that ya know? Why, if it weren't for you, people who aren't computer smart wouldn't feel like crap, it's very important that we undermine their confidence!

You make it sound like i was born knowing computers. Here's some news, i wasnt! What did I do to know these things then? I played around with stuff and looked up tutorials, then experimented on my own until something worked. If i couldn't get it to work right away i kept working at it or i got help. Oh and the best part about it, anyone can do what I did. If I remember correctly, thats the main part of learning computers, experimenting with things and trying to figure things out.

You're totally right! Anyone who doesn't make the effort to learn about computers doesn't deserve to own one, I forgot, that's my bad :(

Hmm, no they can keep their computers. They just shouldnt ask for help and then shun it away when they wont put some effort into it themselves. With that being said, im done wasting my time untwisting your pessimistic comments on everything that's posted.
