I love the video to this song...it starts off with Sarah McLachlan sitting on a chair with the guitar and then it goes into how much it would cost to make a proper video compared to how far that money would go to help people not as fortunate as everyone else.

It's rather fast so you miss some of the information. :( But it's a bit of an eye-opener!

You can watch the video on it's own website, there is also a list of donations made that equal the amount that would have gone on the video had it been a full on professional job.

Video: http://www.worldonfire.ca/ (sometimes the main page freezes your browser, so beware)

Information on Donations: http://www.worldonfire.ca/donations.html

If you can't get the video to work on the first page then check it out on youtube:

The song is also great...I love it. It's got such random parts too! Like "(Bring it to the table) Bring what I am able". I just love that line, it's odd, but it's amazing.

Quote:

"World On Fire"

Hearts are worn in these dark ages
You're not alone in this story's pages
The light has fallen amongst the living and the dying
And I'll try to hold it in, yeah I'll try to hold it in

[Chorus]
The world's on fire and
It's more than I can handle
I'll tap into the water
(Try and bring my share)
I try to bring more
More than I can handle
(Bring it to the table)
Bring what I am able

I watch the heavens but I find no calling
Something I can do to change what's coming
Stay close to me while the sky is falling
Don't wanna be left alone, don't wanna be alone

[Chorus]

Hearts break, hearts mend
Love still hurts
Visions clash, planes crash
Still there's talk of
Saving souls, still the cold
Is closing in on us

We part the veil on our killer sun
Stray from the straight line on this short run
The more we take, the less we become
The fortune of one that means less for some

[Chorus X2]
