Jeff Hardy has given notice to WWE that he will not be resiging when his contract expires in 2-4 months. Source: PWInsider Elite Man, thats unexpected. Well, at least he got a huge push and a WWE championship run out of his time. What else can I say. I was skeptical at first that he would make a significant impact. But I really liked him this time around Farewell, Jeff Edited by #LJB, Apr 21 2009, 05:53 AM.

Im now done with wrestling. The release of Torrie last year, the dominance of HHH and Cena on the whole company, and now the only reason I tune in to WWE every week is leaving. Shame too, Iwas looking forward to going to mania next year....... O well,I guess i'll spend the next 2 months watching my hero job to his inferior brother week in and out. I'll continue to watch TNA for the MCMG, and hope a couple of months down the road I hear the first lines of a particular theme song Ihaven't heard in a while - Modest. |

Wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't true. What was it Matt said? "I'll eliminate Jeff from the WWE Universe". |

In an update from yesterday’s story on Jeff Hardy possibly leaving WWE soon, he still has not been receptive to any of the long term deals WWE has offered. The company actually offered Jeff a one year deal so they can lock him in for the time being and start working towards a longer deal. As of this writing, the last word was that Hardy still has not agreed to a deal. Hardy’s contract situation is the reason he has been booked to lose in the feud with his brother Matt. Matt has been getting the victories to make him look stronger and put Jeff down in case Jeff ends up leaving the company. The belief right now is that Jeff isn’t looking to go to another wrestling company, atleast openly, but that he is looking to live his life on his own schedule. TNA sources indicated yesterday that they have had no contact with Jeff. Regardless of what ends up happening, we will keep you updated. - http://nodq.com/wwe/242337994.shtml Makes sense to have Matt win if Jeff is leaving but if he stays this could do more damage to Jeff and his status as a main event guy. |

If the only reason you're watching wrestling is for a minority of people, it doesn't really seem that you were into it in the first place. At least, not in general. |

Jeff Hardy posted the following on his Facebook page: "Jeffrey Itchweed Nero Hardy says that new contract signing are RUMORS, which means it may not be true, I might sign a new contract soon but the contract doesn't expire till July, so I'll play it day-by-day." - http://nodq.com/wwe/242355690.shtml "contract signing are RUMORS, which means it may not be true" - Is Jeff just being an idiot and pointing out what we can already work out with the word rumors? |

Why anyone on here would've thought that, if he decides to leave WWE again, he'd go back to TNA is beyond my comprehension. If he does leave, it's as a lifestyle choice. Hmmm, near top of card, just had World Title......yeah I'll quit and go back to an indy fed! Idiotic. |

I agree, Euan. Jeff Hardy would be a fool to go back to TNA. There's no way they'd be able to match the pay he's most likely making in WWE. They could push him to the moon and he'd still not be as lucrative as he is in the WWE. I've read that he's got one of the best product sales, not sure how close he is to Cena, but you can't deny he's a fan favorite (regardless of your feelings about him). The only thing TNA has to offer is a better schedule, but considering Jeff has been in dire straits financially that isn't much of an offer. Honestly, if WWE is smart, they'll give him a limited schedule or just let him take a vacation until he's rested or whatever he says he needs. If Jeff does leave and goes to TNA, this proves just how much of an idiot I've always figured he was. Edited by jerseyboybastard, Apr 23 2009, 01:47 AM.

The only reason he would go back to TNA, which I don't think he will anyway, is to use drugs without any real consequences. |

I could see him signing for TNA. I really don’t think he cares about his position in the company. This is the same man who said in interviews last year that he didn’t care about being champion; whose only regret about missing WrestleMania XXIV was that he missed an art exhibition in Orlando… I really don’t see him being swayed by assurances of future reigns and headline programs. TNA offers a lighter schedule and more flexibility (such as being able to smoke, drink, etc. without consequences). That probably has more appeal. Money-wise, I believe he’s on $300,000. Angle makes $500,000, Sting makes $600,000 and is the highest paid active wrestler in the world on a match-by-match basis. Hardy is a bigger draw than both and would expect a similar figure.
Doesn’t everyone? I’ve been watching for 22 years and I’ve only ever been interested in a minority of wrestlers. |
