Oh, by far the best part about Kane is how people assert that all that needs to be done to "fix him" is to put the mask back on. |

They really should just keep him out or a few months and bring him back as Citizen X. I'd mark. Either that or have him do the whole electric nipple clamps thing on Shane again. |

From what I remember, the Death Do Us Part match with Matt was pretty good, albeit short. And the Stretcher match with Edge was good for that type of match (never really been that big a fan of Stretcher matches). Been a while since I've seen the Stretcher match, and I have the TDDUP match somewhere.... I will however say that Kane v. Benoit owns all of these by far, but that's because Benoit made it so. |

It comes nowhere near the masterclass that Big Show led him through a few days before See No Evil hit. |

We're reaching here then, aren't we. I think a handful of decent matches during over a decade wrestling adds up to a pretty shit CV. "Hard worker," "matches range from watchable to very, very good..." it's Isaac Yankem, not Dan Kroffat. I don't understand why Kane fans are so often Mick Foley fans. Foley actually was a very good wrestler and has been in dozens of fantastic matches. I'd think it's because of the masks but then where's the Vader love? Vader's about five times better than Foley, and a billion times better than Kane, and he wore a mask. Okay, it looked like a leather jock strap but so did Foley's! I just don't get it, Joker. I just don't get it. |

I also wondered where the Vader love was. Most Foley fans are not Foley fans for his actual good matches, but for Hell in the Cell vs. Taker and other delights. I bet that only 35% of Foley's fans have seen his work with Sting or more than two matches of his against or involving Vader, maybe the same have seen Mind Games against Michaels. Maybe. It's all about falling off things and being speared through flaming tables. Speaking of Foley, I'm really hoping for the best tonight against Sting. He usually puts on quite a show, but his only downright awful match since going into semi-retirement was in, surprise, TNA. |

I actually didn't know Foley was back. Sting hasn't really been any good since... well, since he became Crow Sting. So I wouldn't hold my breath. |

This is his second match since signing. His first was two months ago, I think. |

Marchhaire, I may be wrong, but I thought Lockdown was on the 19th, next Sunday. Not today, the 12th. Unless you're living in the future, a week from the rest of us. ![]() My opinion of Kane - I'm indifferent. He can retire if he likes. He hasn't done anything of real significance in the WWE that's interested me. I wouldn't say he's a crap wrestler, but he doesn't inspire excitement when one of his matches is announced. *shrug* I'm a bigger fan of Mankind and afterward Mick Foley than Kane, by and large. I have to confess, I haven't seen a lot of Vader because I wasn't into wrestling during the height of his career. I'll have to go seek out some stuff and get back to you. I'm a fan of both Foley and Kane. I think Foley's style of wreckless abandon leaves itself open for better matches. Foley will literally do anything to entertain. Eh, personal prefrences. Do I think Kane's the best? Not by a long shot. However. I just tend to enjoy his matches for whatever reason. I don't think he's the best, but he's not useless by a long shot in my book. And I like Vader, but I've been spoiled on him, because his Japanese work is far superior to his American work, I think... In fact, Lance, you got me into the Japanese work of Vader yourself, when you mentioned his match with Stan Henson. I downloaded it shortly there after... |

1. How are you spoiled on Vader? Shouldn't that mean that you like him more than Kane, at the very least? 2. Kane is somewhat useless. You put him in the main event of a PPV, you fail. You put Great Kahli in the main event of a PPV, the country of India shows up. If you're lucky, he'll squash a watermelon. 3. Foley's best matches are the ones that don't involve backyard wrestling stunts. Flaming tables at Wrestlemania? Fine. Cool, even. The simple shit, Vader punching him raw, Sting fighting Foley on the outside, the Dude Love elbow at Summerslam? Much better. |

There are a few decent Hansen/Vader matches... the eyeball match probably not so much. I'll see what I can dig out of my folder. |

1. Not necessarily, because I know for a fact that just because certain people are better wrestlers doesn't mean that you always like them over the other guy. 2. It depends on the opponent. Like most, you're only as good as who you're facing. And if he has enough of a following to make a DVD set, its obvious that Kane has some fandom. 3. I never said that his best matches were the stunt ones. I just said he has reckless abandon. I mean, I wouldn't have taken a hit like that from Vader and survived. Or, aside from that, even matches like his Mind Games match vs. Shawn Michaels. Foley is very good, and comparing him to Kane is apples to oranges in my book. |
