Should WWE re-hire Brock Lesnar?; Ive been giving it some thought...

Ok, so Ive been coming on AWT the past couple of days and in the WWE section, nothing is really happeneing so Ive decided to post my thoughts to hear y'alls :P

It has become obvious now that Brock is only in it - like goldberg - for money. Which is a shame. WWE is in a bit of a slump rights now. The highlight of RAW is hornswoggle as McMahons son; the highlight of smackdown is Teddy Long having a heart attack at his wedding; and the highlight of ECW is Big Daddy V in the main event!

So, if I was Vince - I would no doubt offer a (generous) sum to Brock to try and make him come back. Hell - if Vince paid someone useless like Mizark $10,000,000 for 10 (useless, boring} years - surely he could afford brock?

No doubt a mark out moment would be making the arena go black and hearing the beginning of his entrance theme whilst Brock runs to the ring and F5s the hell outta Batista, Kahli, and Mark Henry {seeing as he was on smackdown}.

IMO, Brock would be able to still draw. The man always sold mechandise, was involved in high profile feuds and had many successful championship runs - however, my only concern would be his ego - we dont need two Hulk Hogans out the back <_<

Him returning would possibly get smackdowns numbers up there with RAWs each week - perhpas low 3.0's would be a start?

Anyway, like I said - what do you think?

There's a difference between Fast National Network ratings (SD!) and cable ones (Raw), and being as SD! pulls in good numbers for its slot, the E is hardly concerned.

With that though, fuck a Brock.

Tough choice between No and Don't Care. I'll just go ahead and take a stance on NO. He just isn't needed. Oh, and I highly doubt Lesner would bring in more ratings...maybe ECW, but ECW's ratings are nothing to complain about.

From a solely business perspective, I don’t think he’s worth it. He may improve business, but don’t count on it.

As a draw, I’d place him on a par with Kevin Nash or Bret Hart. There is nothing wrong with that, but Lesnar demands the kind of money that Steve Austin was making in 1999.

He also seems unwilling to settle for anything less…

Initially, the company signed him to a huge contract and he did little for business in 2002 and 2003. When he asked for his release in 2004, WWE management were happy to see the back of him - maybe not ‘happy’, but they didn’t offer any resistance or offer him any more money. When he entered into negotiations in 2005 for a possible return, he wanted the same money as before, maybe more. WWE knew he wasn’t worth it, had found two significantly bigger drawing cards in Cena and Batista and weren’t interested. Lesnar claims he was “low-balled” by WWE, but I suspect he was merely offered a more reasonable salary.

However, as a wrestling fan, I would definitely like to see him return. He was The Shit.

He was indeed The Shit. Shame he turned into mere Shit.

I'd want them to hire him back, because he was better than most of the roster is now and I'd like to see whether he can get back to that form.

Should they hire him back? I don't see how I can answer this without getting into an asinine debate/groupthink/masturbatory session about ratings, merchandising, turnovers and other financial nonsense that has nothing to do with wrestling.

Simple anwser is yes but we don't know if Vince wants him or Brock himself actually wants to come back.

Plus it looks like Brock Might sign for the UFC.

He's a liability, he's got no passion for the biz, and he's not even as scary looking anymore. No.

A shame, because I believe he had more raw ability than anybody to step inside a WWE ring.

From a pure wrestling standpoint, I say yes. Just so they can have some more big stars, and rely on Cena via STFU for everything.

From a buisiness standpoint, he's gonna have to settle for less money than he wants, which I think he won't do. I think he's gonna try his damndest to get Austin-esque money, and he's not Austin.

Would he be a draw? Yes. Would he have some quality matches? More than likely. Will it happen? No. Should it happen? Eh, no.

I thought he was quality and since I don't give a shit about the money or ratings side of wrestling I say bring him back.
