This from Wrestling Observer:

Quote:

Shane Bower, who wrestled as Biff Wellington for Stampede Wrestling in the late 80s, passed away within the past few days.

According to area wrestler Steve Rivers, Bower's parents found him this morning at home in bed, as they were concerned because they hadn't heard from him. Medical officials when examining the body believe he had been dead for a few days.

Bower was a top worker in the days of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Chris Benoit, Hiroshi Hase and so many others. He was also Benoit's tag team partner in what is believed to have been Benoit's first major U.S. mainstream match as part of a WCW international tag team tournament.

The Clash XIX match w/Benoit vs. Liger & Pillman was awesome.

RIP, Beef.

I was going to post about this, but feared most people here would post similar feelings to Pat's post.

Agreed. I'd really like to see more of his work though.

RIP.

Theres rumours that this is why Benoit missed last nights show. It sort of makes sense, although I don't know how close they were.

I don't even think Biff and Beef are the same person come to think of it. Fuck it, whatever, both terrible wrestling names anyhow.

I think that "Beef" is a current day indy guy (Canadian also), and "Biff" was the Stampede guy.

I'm sure Biff was billed as Beef Wellington at Clash XIX, in the tag match the Observer article refers too though, unless I'm tripping.
