I'm still trying to come to terms with your seething hatred of me.

That and you didn't give me the link to your wordpress.

I hate you in a very loving way.

And the wordpress isn't really ready yet.

A Canticle for Leibowitz.
I just remembered where I heard about it from. I really liked it, thanks. I needed additions to my list of random Latin phrases and words and it had them aplenty. Loved Rachel/Mrs. Grales.

Such a good book. I need to find my copy and re-read it.

Yeah, it's pretty boss.

I'm pretty obsessed with Goethe at the moment, I'd probably stalk him if he was still around.

Should have asked months ago, but this board is incredibly neglected: Roman Elegies?

Alias Grace by Atwood and the Selected Poems of Anne Sexton.

Just bought Transmetropolitan: Year of the Bastard

So far, got through the first 30 page and it is a pretty good read. I've only heard of the series, but pretty good artwork, an interesting protagonist, etc.

Will post more as I get through more of the story

I read the whole series cover to cover a while back. I think overall I prefer Planetary and what I've read of Authority, but Transmet is still not without its charms.

I read 8 books last week (including three within 12 hours). I think I've surpassed my usual level of intelligence and am now into Lex Luthor-esque supervillainy.

This week, I'm looking over a few William Blake plates, Aleister Crowley's Book of Thoth and a book on inner mythology by Nevill Drury. I've found that my library also has Alice in Sunderland.

Kingdom Come, but mostly I'm looking at the pictures of Superman and comparing his physical similarities to Scott Hall. Also, I'm pretty sure this is Alice Cooper, ignore the bad scan job...

Helen DeWitt's The Last Samurai, I've never wanted to have a kid more.

I'm just going to continue replying here for fun.

Only the Super-Rich Can Save Us! - Nader

I put it off for a while as I was genuinely afraid it would be awful. It's not. As if I hadn't already imagined having sexual intercourse with him previously he then forces the reader to imagine him listening to Patti Smith. It's too hot.

I've found myself reading poetry far more frequently than usual, especially Whitman.

Nader is indeed pretty sexy.

Read a few books on structuralism and deconstruction for laymen as a kind of primer for tackling Foucault and Derrida again.

You should write a book, Lance. Then you can get Nader to do the foreword. I'm willing to promote it for free, but only if you hook us up for an hour or so.

I've come to the conclusion that Paul Theroux is ridiculous and not in a pleasant way. Anyone have proof to the contrary?

I'm actually on my second book, fourth if you include plays.

I've only read the Railway Bazaar one and the one where he sucks off V.S. Naipaul. Have you seen his son's programmes?
