Finished off Batman. Good game.
Is it more of a plain beat-em-up game or is it a bit more psychological thriller?

Interesting question. It's a good mixture of both - the brawling elements aren't the major focus of the game, but are fun, and there are some strong platforming and detective elements.

Definitely worth trying out.

I don't know how to classify it, really. I suppose if you combined Metal Gear Solid with Streets of Rage, and threw in those Spider-Man games and a dash of Mario for the Scarecrow bits, then you'd have something like Batman: Arkham Asylum. Plus, you're playing as Kevin Conroy Batman, possibly the most awesome Batman of them all, and he never lets you forget it.

The game was made better by the Batman: TAS cast.
It was also nice to see Harley get somewhat of an update to her look, even though she didn't really do much.

That scene where Bruce sees his parent's corpses was very well done and perfect. That whole hallucination was amazing.

It will definitely be worth a rent, which I probably will do. Also having Mark Hamill back as the Joker=win!

Platforming elements,eh? I didn't think that would be in this game..

Spiderman: Maximum Carnage

This game is so awesome. They need to remake this game. It'll be Marvel's answer to Batman's 'Arkham Asylum'. I honestly believe so.

I used to love that game on Genesis. I also had the 14 issue crossover series, so maybe that had something to do with it.

They really should remake it though.

No they shouldn't, because that'd mean bringing all of Spidermans shit 90's villains out of mothballs. If Carnage gets another storyline, ever, I'll fucking puke.

Been playing some Brutal Legend, to change gears fucking drastically from Uncharted.

Great stuff, and if you love the metal, it's even better.

Well since Disney has bought Marvel, I see it that people better start saving the classics. Because in a few years this will be the new face of Marvel:

I'm sure putting Mickey Mouse ears on the Hulk is meant to have some deeper message about consumer culture, but in truth Marvel's been as corporate as hell without Disney for years.

I mean, what is it really going to change? Is Spider-Man going to suffer from MORE arrested development to appease the kids than he already does? Are they going to phase out EVERY X-Men villain that isn't Magneto, instead of just 90% of them?
