I don't think I could make a list these days, and it wouldn't at all resemble my previous one. |

Please tell me that Thin Lizzy is still up there. Also, I won't do a list, because that'd apparently take a YEAR |

Actually... Still listen to: Leonard Cohen (seen 'im) Early Pink Floyd David Bowie Jimi Hendrix Nick Cave (seem 'im) Neil Young Echo and the Bunnymen (seen 'em) The Clash The Stranglers (seen 'em) The Kinks Black Sabbath (met Ian Gillan, Tony Iomi; roadied for Glenn Hughes) Beethoven, Wagner. Sometimes Part and Bach. The rest, I don't have much use for. And I actively dislike Einaudi. Stuff I'm into these days: Richard Thompson (seen 'im) Martin Carthy Albert Ayler Pharoah Sanders Diamanda Galas Psychic TV Throbbing Gristle Rykarda Parasol (the female Nick Cave; get onto it A.S.A.P.) Joanna Newsom Smog (the male Joanna Newsom, innit) Jolie Holland Derek Bailey Giant Sand Calexico Miles Davis Sun Ra The Fall (seen 'em) Bill Laswell Jah Wobble (seen 'im) Coil Hawkwind (seen 'em) Gil Scott-Heron (seen 'im) Cabaret Voltaire Pere Ubu Anthony Braxton John Zorn Frank Zappa Tricky Portishead DJ Food As you can see, I don't go to nearly as much live music as I should - I feel I'm getting old. |

To be fair, I've always felt you were most likely a sexagenarian. I can't believe I used to listen to Sublime. They're awful. I'd rather sacrifice little boys in the name of Tlaloc than listen to them at this point. |

Leonard Cohen Tom Waits Bruce Springsteen (seen him) T. Rex The Kinks Frank Zappa Miles Davis Joanna Newsom (seen her) The Rolling Stones Bob Dylan Johnny Cash The Clash LCD Soundsystem Neutral Milk Hotel Pavement Pixies David Bowie Iggy Pop/The Stooges The Adverts Nick Cave Sleater-Kinney The White Stripes/The Dead Weather (seen the White Stripes) Pink Floyd John Coltrane Wu-Tang Clan Outkast Neil Young Sufjan Stevens Violent Femmes Velvet Underground Roxy Music Talking Heads (seen David Byrne) CCR Warren Zevon Flaming Lips (seen them) Al Green Elvis Costello (seen him) A cast of rotating acts belonging to 60s Soul/girl groups/garage/Brit invasion, 70s punk/reggae, 90s rap and 00s indie. I've seen a lot of live music, but that's probably more due to the fact that I spend a lot of money to go to giant festivals where I'll see twenty minutes of an act I like before spending five dollars on a sweet potato samosa. I am a fat, insufferable hipster. Edited by March Haire, Nov 30 2010, 08:33 AM.

How was Costello? I'm beyond jealous of that. Every time he comes to town something comes up and I miss him. Leonard Cohen - I've developed a very strong fondness for him. I blame Of for that. "Everybody Knows" has become part of my morning routine. Again, it's all Of's fault... fucker. Edited by Mutant Couch, Dec 1 2010, 12:44 AM.

Costello was very much in his country guise, so not as good as I'd hoped. |
