Sublime - "Santeria"

No explanation/review is necessary, as Sublime equals pure, unadulterated PWNAGE in any form . . .

Private Universe by Crowded House

I loved this band. It soothed me. Back then, the song creeped me out for some reason... now, it just brings back some good memories of youth lost. Great song, and I can totally relate to it.

Can't believe I missed this thread, my apologies for creating that other one...

Money - The band with many beards

Perhaps one of the coolest introduction to any songs ever. Love the bass riff...

Pink Flooyd gets changed to The band with the beard or something. Totally illogical, incorrect both grammatically (they're sharing one beard) and actually (Roger Waters never had a beard during his time with Pink Flooyd).

And Kid Roock is now KID MUTHASUCKIN' ROCK~!

Derek likes Kid. I like Floyd.

It's him trying to SON~! me. He'd say he did, and he'd probably be right, but it just looks so shabby. I told him to even change it to "Pink Flooyd, who suck", just so it adds flow to the sentence, is actually SONNABLE~! and allows you to understand what the fucking censor is about, but he's too much of a wanker to do so. He'll probably just change this post to a picture of a massive sparrow or something, which makes it silly to have written so much.

Point made yada yada yada.

Oh, and:

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

Original. Haven't heard anything else. Stayed in 'Welsh Border' to write second album. Actually Knighton in Herefordshire. Fucked some sheep. Achieved godlike status. Became depressed. Contemplated suicide. Wrote a book. ??????. Profit.

Thanks Cowards. The fuck does sonning mean?

Anyway:

Alphabet Street - Prince

Perhaps the best song off his Lovesexy album. Also the only Prince song to feature a rap that is not only not done by Prince, but not also complete suck.

You know how condescending (sp?) it is to refer to someone as "Son", well, it's like ownage only more gangland, flooded and Cranium gigantisus.

Ah ok. Man, why can't we get such slang down in Australia?

It's not proper slang. It's something Derek made up.

Us and Them by P-i-n-k F-l-o-y-d

Haunting song that nearly puts you in a trance. Interestingly enough, if you play "Carry that Weight" from the Beatles Abbey Road, it fits nearly perfectly...

Daft Punk- Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Despite the title sounding like a shameless euphemism, this song, and many Daft Punk songs in general, is/are fucking amazing. Naturally, anyone who immediately writes off electronic music as schlock probably wouldn't enjoy it, but damn is it ever amazing to my ears.

Work it, make it, do it, makes us, harder, better, faster, stronger...

The White Stripes - A Martyr For My Love For You (Live @ Bonnaroo

I was a tad disapointed in the Stripes' new disc (I was expecting the bagpipe tracks to be brilliance, and instead they were throwaway, as are a few other songs), but this is just a damn good song, anyway you slice it. Well written, well preformed, and it was the penultimate song of my Bonnaroo experience, complete with some dude proposing marriage via Jack White. It may also have been the only song where I didn't get kicked in the head by a crowdsurfer.

The Beautiful South - Perfect Ten

Cute song. Although the central riff on the keyboard (electric organ, maybe. Sounds the same as that used in the intrumental break in Money) begins to grate after only a while, it's a good song. And not lol Floyd. Surprising, even to me.

I even listened to Bob Marley today. Very unusual.
