Fatboy Slim- Weapon of Choice http://youtube.com/watch?v=0WW8flwpH-Q&feature=related It's a great fucking song if you are home alone and you just wanna jam out and mess shit up in your house. A good stress-relief song, and as for the video, Christopher Walken is a God among men. That is all. |

Public Enemy - Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos The best song on the 2ed or 3ed best rap album of all time. Chuck D is a Farahkhan felating beast. Also, I impressed a beat poet once by saying that it was the last song I'd listened to that day. I'm so hip. And as if to counterbalance my hipness, Ella Fitzgerald comes on. |

QFT. Joy Division - She's Lost Control My favourite song of theirs. In fact, one of my favourite songs from the post-punk genre. |

"I'm Falling Away" - Evermore Yeah, I followed up on a song from a Sprite commercial. The bit they used for the ad made it seem like it would be a nice mellow number, but it falls a bit flat. |

The Waitress - Atmosphere Love the new album, this song especially. It's very different from their last couple albums, but while I need to give it another listen to be certain, I think it's my favorite since the Lucy Ford days. The material is dark and maybe a tad depressing, but brilliant. Atmosphere is about the only hip hop I've been willing to listen to lately. They have this whole opposite thing going on, where the beats actually do act as a backing for the more prominent lyrics instead of only being worth listening to because of great production. Also, Slug's taken on storytelling more on this album than previous ones, instead of every song being all him. Probably a silly question as I doubt it, but is anyone else a fan? |

Blitzen Trapper - Wild Mountain Nation Sounds like awesome Southern Rock by people who aren't from the South. Extra points for irony? I have no idea. The bassist from Sleater-Kinney recommended them, I got them from my eMusic account (I legally pay for some shit in case there is a god who finds copyright law a good thing), and I wound up really enjoying this song. The rest of the album isn't that bad either. I might upload it. I might also upload Piper matches. And clips from WCW Saturday Night. Might, might, might. But probably wont. |

Everything In It's Right Place by Radiohead. Unique time signature, the amazingly odd way of doing the vocals, the funky lyrics...just an amazing song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrpGhEVyrk0&feature=related There's a link to a vid, incase anyone wanted to hear it n shit. |

Butterfly - Crazy Town I just found it in the related videos sidebar. Anyway: One second it's this nice little mushy love song, then it's a typical sex song. It made good use of the beat and the guitar, even if it is stolen from RHCP. Side Note: It was funny seeing the singer in a DARE shirt, only to be on Celebrity Rehab show on Vh1 |

George Clinton & The Goombas - Walk the Dinosaur Probably the only defense for a movie like SMB is that George Clinton got to do a badass cover of Was (Not Was)'s "Walk the Dinosaur." It makes me want to watch the movie, just to see a bunch of retards dancing to it. I'll take George dancing with himself though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=733O0xJDx8o |

March - You just don't understand good cinema, that movie was brilliant. Come on, Dennis Hopper as Koopa is just genius casting. Peaches - The Stranglers While I do sometimes like to pretend this isn't my favorite song of theirs, it's just getting hard to deny. It's catchy and the lyrics are crude, what more do you need? |

Agreed. Have you ever tried talking to somebody about the movie though? IT'S SACRILEGE. So I kinda stopped sticking up for it. That music video simply gives me ammunition. "What do you have against George Clinton" is much better than "You're retarded because you think goombas would have been a better villains as they were in game." Still...I want to see those retards dance. Seriously, this is every argument: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vw7WLSjrYdo |

Violent Femmes - Mother of a Girl Probably one of my favorite songs of theirs, especially if you were to take away everything on their terrific and perfect debut album. Gordon Gano sounds fucking pissed off, especially when he says that he wants to pound some guys prick into the dirt. |

Deep Purple - Highway Star On the album with "Smoke on the Water," so it is forgotten. I tell you what though...this song hits my iPod, and I hit 90 in my piece of shit Saturn. It's badass...the high speed/shit car/awesome driving song combo, may you live on forever. |

Rocky Dennis' Farewell Song to the Blind Girl - Jens Lekman Apart from bringing up visuals of Cher this song's great. The song's incredibly sweet, but the subject is still somewhat amusing. Lekman has this ability to straddle the line between the two perfectly, at times it's nothing short of amazing. Okay, so now it's Suzanne by Leonard Cohen, yeah I've given in and added some Cohen to my music collection. I've also finally (about a year or so ago) listened to his version of Hallelujah and I didn't think I would, but I do prefer it to Buckley's cover, quite a bit even. On to Suzanne, the imagery he can evoke with his lyrics really is stunning. He doesn't have a particularly great voice, but it's still incredibly beautiful. |
