Anyone that is a fan of rap, Lupe, or both, should definitely give this song a listen . . .

Already have, and let me say, Lupé has become one of my new favourite artist. Maybe it's his similarity to Nas, his poetic lyrics or maybe it's the fact he's totally different from everyone else out there today, but I like this kid. He's going to have a big future, methinks.

LCD Soundsystem - "45:33"

Holy shit.

This is fucking aweosme. The song is...well, 45:33 long. It's basically remixes of their songs in one long song. I really enjoyed it.

"Free Bird" Lynard Skynard

I can't believe I hadn't heard the song in it's entirety until now. This might even supplant "Achilles' Last Stand" as my favorite rock epic.

Lupe Fiasco - "Superstar" (w/ Matthew Santos)

This is a great song about the pressures of stardom, as performed by the man that I have already christened "the next Nas". The mood created by the beat of the song is goosebump inducing, the lyrics flow together nicely, and he doesn't even has to cuss to get his point across. He's like Will Smith, only more talented when it comes to the music business.

Anyone that is a fan of rap, Lupe, or both, should definitely give this song a listen . . .

He's way underrated. I hate how this guy isn't getting noticed while worthless fucks like Soulja Boy are getting exposure.

On the contrary...Lupe got some pretty major press when his album dropped. Soulja Boy getting exposure is a temporary thing, and really, is how rap works. Soulja will sell a lot of albums now, but in two years he won't be remembered while Lupe will be cranking out solid shit.

To stay somewhat on topic...

"Lip Gloss" by Lil Mama. I'm at a coffeehouse, and the radio is on. I have to say, if Mama sticks around, matures, and keeps the same production people, she might have a future. Raps about lip gloss won't really cut it though. Beat is catchy as hell.

Linkin Park - "Shadow of the Day"

An alright song, but their new album is nothing in comparison to their old work.

Led Zeppelin - "Kashmir"

Ah, so fucking epic. It's a remastered version I got from "The Complete Led Zeppelin" from iTunes. Sounds so much better.

The Doors - Riders on the Storm

Imagine someone taking off the top of your skull without causing you any pain, and gently caressing your brain.

This is that.

Elton John - Your Song

Musical perfection. Completely flawless. Seriously, there is nothing wrong with this song, not a second wasted. Everything about it works brilliantly. Just marvellous. And a million other superlatives to go along with this.

R. Kelly-I Believe I Can Fly

Call me a softie, but this one brings a tear to my eye sometimes. R. Kelly's old pre-urinary days. Very inspirational stuff. I miss those simpler days in the 90's. This takes me back to my days as a young man. Love it.

Bloc Party - "Flux"

This is the new single from their EP. For this song, they changed their style to more of a dance/electronic track, and it's very good.

It's one of the reasons that Space Jam was one of the greatest film's of all time.

Band Of Horses - "The Funeral"

It's the song from the new 2008 Ford Edge commercial, it's slow, and it gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it . . .

Carry on.

It's just a shame he then proceeded to lock himself in a closet.
