Eh Hee by Dave Matthews(again)

This one might get Song of the Year for me.

Have ye not heard "She's a Rejector" by Of Montreal? Any song with Robocop in the lyrics automatically wins song of the year.

I haven't heard that yet; but the DM bias here might give it the win.

"Iron Man" Black Sabbath.

Listening to it on youtube after watching trailer. I've gotta add this to my gym playlist.

Update: the trailer made me re-examine the song, and now it's caught on. I can't stop listening to it,and thinking that it could be my life's theme song (potent yet underappreciated guy finally has enough.)

"Street Dreams" by Nas

Just heard it yesterday and I can now easily say it's one of my favorite rap songs. If you're a fan, give it a listen.

Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer.

This song could potentially murder an entire 3rd world country. I guess it's a good thing none of them can afford to listen to it.

Allman Brothers Band - Mountain Jam

I'm just annoyed that you get the first five seconds of this on the Live At Fillmore album, but you have to shell out for Eat a Peach to get the whole 34 minute frill laden piece. I mean, not that I did. But I would have had to back in the 70s. Which makes me so mad!

Albert Vorne - Formentera What (Gareth Emery Remix)

Far and away the greatest club trance kick-off song for years. Gives me goosebumps everytime I've heard it since being off my face on an Ibiza dancefloor when LAZARS WERE FIRIN in my eyes. Crank up the volume and at 2:01 prepare for cum shooting in pants.

The Who - Doctor Jimmy
The Who - The Rock
The Who - Love Reign O'er Me

Depressingly sad, but joyfully musical, a medley of awesomitude that is good.

Silverchair - "Straight Lines"

Oh god, this song is so catchy. It has been in my head for over a week and I can't get it out. I think it's a really good song, even though I know some people don't.

Montana(live) by Frank Zappa

One of my favorite Zappa songs to hear in a live setting.

Cymande - Brothers on the Slide

Fantastic song from some long forgotten blaxtoploitation film. Compilation discs are your friend. Bongos are, too.

"Femininity" Eric Benet

Abundantly sexy & cool. I guess this is why he was smooth enough to land a chick like Halle Berry.

Holiday in Cambodia by Dead Kennedys.

Probably my second favorite song on probably the best hardcore punk album ever.

Your first favorite being?

And I guess...is it "Fresh Fruit," or "Give Me Convenience..."?

Oh...I'm listening to Old Brown Shoe...pretty decent late period Beatles song. I like this rough version on Anthology better than the album version. Drives harder.

"Police and Thieves" - The Clash.

If you need an introduction to the band who recorded this terrific song...you've obviously never gotten past your All Saints fan phase. This is one of my favorite Clash songs...which is saying quite a lot, considering how awesome the Clash are.

"Ayo Technology" 50 Cent w/ Timbaland & Justin Timberlake

I loathe 50 Cent, but I'm about as big a fan of Timbaland's work as any mainstream artist's out there now. The end product's decent, all things considered.

The faint sounds of a band outside my room playing Wish You Were Here. I think they're a Christian band in the Christian tent just outside the College of Darwin (irony?). I must say, they're playing a nice acoustic playlist, just finishing Knocking on Heaven's Door... Unfaultable.

I'd appreciate it, had it not woken me up.

It's Tricky - Run DMC

Fantastic old-school rap. One of the best beats ever...
