Just came back from a holiday with the family. Quite nice, even if there was little to do there.

Did anything of note happen while I was away? There was no internet access where I was. So for most of my internet stuff, I know nothing new.

Not a lot, but definitely not a sell-out. Most people left during the third period.

I ask because I'm curious wether the NHL can keep all 30 teams running in the wake of the cancelled season. Here the Caps weren't all that popular to begin with, but now it's like they don't even exist.

Wait, Washington has a hockey team? Yeah right, next you're gonna tell me we have a baseball team too.

Actually, I remember ticket sales booming after the NHL came out of the lockout and the 05-06 season being one of the most sucessful. I'm just thinking the recent downfall is coming from the fact that a lot of big name superstars are leaving/not playing so well and fans don't have much interest following their teams as they used to (i.e. Tickets in Detroit aren't selling as much since Yzermen, Shanahan and Hull left, despite the fact Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Holmstrum are playing just as great)

Who needs another team when they have the Bullets, right?

Tickets aren't selling well in Detroit because they cost an average of $70.

My 10 year old sister got a ps2 for christmas so she can play ddr, and after finding my old game stash (I stopped playing years ago when mine broke), I've spent the last 90 minutes at her behest teaching her the nuances of football on Madden 03, and the art of Tony Hawk 04.

I'm sorry, I thought you were Hockeytown, USA. Forgive me please, I seem to have mistaken you for St. Paul, but I hope no feeling were hurt from this...

Well, though I'm mayor of Hockey Town, I really can't speak for all of its citizens. All I know is that I can't get fucking tickets when I want to go (every time I visit Detroit), but I can't even afford shit seats.

Also, I really have no idea what you're talking about.
