I hated T3 honestly, so in mine and most fans personal views, T3 never existed. Indiana Jones 5 will be a improvement to the series in all truth Indy 4 sucked, in all the hype and the set visits it came out with a blur instead like the others in the series...

The King of Kong: A Fistful of Dollars. Probably the greatest film this decade, and that's no joke. |

Pat is rocking this thread to its core. The tempo is actually a valid criticism of The Dark Knight. Saw In Bruges again today. Great flick. |

Fuck you if you didn't like T3. I just saw the Unborn and The Day the Earth Stood still, back to back, walked in the house, and was subjected to the later half of Jackass:The Movie, so I likely have zero braincells left. Pat is rocking this thread to the core though. The tempo of Dark Knight is probably its biggest problem. They crammed so much shit into it, but couldn't decide what to focus on. This is why Batman's final confrontation with the Joker lasted for about three seconds. Possibly because a whole lot of time was devoted to Morgan Freeman cracking wise and walking away from a short circuiting computer. Speaking of Morgan Freeman, he's rather useless when Batman finds the Joker. In fact, when the eyepieces shut off, it probably should have helped. Punching a clown is probably easier than punching the Matrix. Nitpicking! Fuck you if you didn't like T3. |

It's not a question of liking it. It's the fact the film was dreadful, with badly filmed action scenes, hilarious plot holes and contrivances, nerdy directionless repetitiveness and terrible direction, without anything resembling a "cool factor" to save it. |

They spent the whole movie setting up for the third installment. At least that's what I got out of it. The handling of Two-Face was awful. Worst of all they should have went with "I can't quit you" instead of "you complete me," because nobody wants to be forced to remember Jerry Maguire. In about fifteen minutes, I'll be enjoying The Virgin Spring. Well, probably enjoying I suppose I can't make the claim for sure, yet. |

My biggest problem with the way that Nolan has handled the Batman franchise is his chewing up and spitting out of some pretty good villains to enhance other villains and their storylines. Batman Begins Ra's al Ghul essentially manipulates Scarecrow and in TDK, Nolan does it again with Two-Face to enhance the Joker. Makes them look weak by comparison that they can be manipulated like this, at least to me. I'm hoping that Two-Face is handled MUCH better in the third installment than Scarecrow was in the second. |

I thought that Nolan did about as good a job with the Scarecrow as anybody has. Have you actually read any comics featuring Scarecrow? He's a pussy, really. His cameo in Dark Knight was nice though, as it shows how fucked up Gotham is much better than the movies from the previous cycle of films did. The old Batman films left their villains dead, useless, or content to stay in prison for their awful, awful crimes, which led to some inexplicable new guy coming along. Nolan is using one of the cooler unanswered questions of the comic books. What came first, superhero or supervillain? I really liked TDK. It's number two on my 2008 list. The next one will lose Rachel and (supposedly) Morgan Freeman's character. They need to lose David S. Goyer, in all honesty. He has no ability to pace a story, other than maybe Dark City. Most of his "good" movies, like the first two Blade flicks and those Demonic Toys movies, are campy good. Dark City is either very, very good...or awful. I haven't seen it. Batman Begins had bus sized plot holes. Losing him as the writer of the script was very good, but a lot of inconsistencies were likely his. His main influence was The Long Halloween, which is very good, but very pointless. When Johnathan Nolan was brought in, he went to the early shit, which is why the Joker isn't a clown. The movie was also much tighter than Batman Begins. Less plothole riddled, though the nightvision shit and what Joker does when Batman saves Rachel from becoming street pizza remain unanswered. Like I said, cut out the campy shit with Morgan Freeman, and use the extra 15-20 minutes on the stuff that matters. Nobody left The Dark Knight complaining about its length. Dent's rise and fall is doable in one movie (they did it, I guess), as that is the Joker's objective. Dent is, in fact, almost the main character - a replacement for Jim Gordon in Moore's classic Joker story The Killing Joke. |

Just watched Stroszek. Now for Control I think.
I get where you're coming from but seriously, where would you rather live, Nolan's Gotham or Burton's Gotham? |
