The library was Mark's friend, so to speak. All the information you could ever ask for, was right there, as if each book was waiting for you to open it and read. Mark didn't quite spend all his free time here - as much as he loved to read, he did try his best to have a life - but today was a library day. Mark wasn't doing homework right now, however; he was designing a good prank to pull. And sitting in front of him right now were a few pieces of parchment and a couple spellbooks. Mark wasn't too great with spells; never mind the fact that he was just a first year, but he was below average in pretty much all magical classes. The only one that he did well at was Transfiguration, but he needed a wider range of spells than that. A library book to look through was his first instinct.
There were a few ideas jotted down on his parchment, although nothing was very complete at the moment. He could spend hours here if he wanted too, just jotting down more ideas and expanding on them. What he was looking into currently was something a little messy - not that he cared, as long as he wasn't on the receiving end of it. And Mark would make sure to not be on the receiving end of this one, because it was quite disgusting. All he needed was to find the spells required to pull it off. He did know what he needed, but he wasn't sure exactly what it was, if that made sense. Currently on his parchment was this:
Bathroom Water "Explosion" -Small amt. of water bursts out at intervals -Spell for bursting? -Spell for intervals? -Should be at fixed but difficult-to-guess interval + on multiple toilets - can't have people catching on! -Also should have some toilets start later - can be fixed easily, so have to have it happen again
Mark read over the parchment, trying to think what else to add. It seemed pretty simple to him, so all he needed was those damn spells that could make it happen. Once he got that, he could set everything into motion. He smirked after rereading his notes, basking in the thought of the face of whoever got caught in this mess. Hell, maybe it'd be Chase. That would be golden. There was nothing like the public humiliation of his brother - maybe that'd take him down from his godlike view of himself. Probably not, but a kid can dream. Before dreaming, though, was spell finding...

Kaleb stretched his arms over his head, wandering through the corridors absent-mindedly. He wasn't entirely sure of where he was going, but that was how things typically worked with him. A wide grin was plastered on his face, the action much easier to manipulate on his features since the beginning of the term. He glanced at a nearby wall, the posters for the Spring Dance were hard to miss despite their colorless display. A small part of him considered going alone as he did with most social events - he enjoyed mingling with other students and the carefree atmosphere that the school staff tried to off them. But there was another small part of him that had thoughts to actually go with someone. It was natural to want to go with someone, right? Kaleb's mind drifted to a certain white-haired Raven before he shook the thought away. She didn't seem the type to really enjoy dances, but maybe if they went as friends they could both have a good time. Friends. Ha. He mentally rolled his eyes as he found himself outside the library. Friends didn't show up at the library at random in hopes of finding the other.
Shaking his head, Kaleb pushed himself inside the incredibly oppressive area and quickly let his eyes scan over the heads of the students that were seated through the library one by one. No. Definitely not. No. What was that kid doing in the library? No. Not even close. A small frown of disappointment painted his features when he realized that Meissa was not in the library. For once. That thought made a smile tug at the corners of his mouth. He slid through a few aisles in search of her, but she wasn't one to roam through the maze of books - she was that type to have her things prepared and just sit and work. Well, at least that's what she did when she was with Kaleb - maybe that was just to keep him focused. Merlin knew that was a task in itself. Sighing heavily, he rounded back and decided to head out; he had no intention of staying in the library is she wasn't there. He had long since given up trying to convince himself that he didn't visit the library in search of her. Why else would he visit the uncomfortably quiet area of doom? Crossing back, he noticed a younger boy with a piece of parchment in hand. Curiosity tugged at Kaleb - most first-years avoided the library and only came when absolutely necessary. Crossing over to him, his smile widened. "Hey, what are you looking for?" he asked amiably. His eyes strayed to the piece of paper before returning to the boy's face. "I could probably help you out. Name's Kaleb by the way. Kaleb Kesler."

"Hey, what are you looking for? I could probably help you out. Name's Kaleb by the way. Kaleb Kesler." A voice interrupted Mark's thought process as he flipped through a book he had in front of him. Currently it was opened to Diffindo, which wasn't any use at the moment, although it did look like something he should make a note on. It could be useful for something later, maybe to release something from a container. Hm, that could be another one on the to-do list. Wait. The boy. Mark forgot about him; he'd been going off on a thought tangent for a good ten seconds before he snapped back into reality.
Mark turned towards Kaleb, who was definitely older than he was. He found it strange, actually, that the boy was talking to him - normally the older students didn't talk to the younger ones, as far as he knew. But then again, did he know? That was a good question to ask, although Mark wouldn't bother answering it. First he needed to focus on answering Kaleb's question, then later he could move on to the philosophical puzzles of life. "Sorry about that - I was thinking for a moment. Yeah, actually, you probably could help me," Mark replied. Then he paused again for a second - should he tell the boy his prank in planning? After all, if he did eventually pulled it, then there was one person who knew the culprit right there. But he did seem nice enough not to rat on him...Mark decided on trusting him. "I'm trying to pull off a prank, and it's going to be pretty big, but I don't know what spells I'd need." He showed Kaleb the list, pointing to the two questions of the spells he'd need. "I''m Mark Ebson, by the way," he added.

Kaleb waited curiously for the younger student to answer, brow quirking in mild amusement at the pause that lingered before he spoke. "Sorry about that - I was thinking for a moment." Kaleb crossed his arms over his chest with a good-natured grin. "Always a dangerous pasttime," he joked. "Do you need something?" His eyes trailed to the parchment again, curiosity making his hand twitch to snatch it from him. "Yeah," the boy replied, drawing Kaleb's attention back to his face, "actually, you probably could help me." There was another pause and Kaleb rolled his eyes exaggeratedly.
"I'm trying to pull off a prank, and it's going to be pretty big, but I don't know what spells I'd need." Kaleb glanced at the list written on the parchment, a small part of him sighing in contentment at the sudden satisfaction of knowing what it said. Interesting. He surveyed the notes, eyes shining bright in interest. This was a pretty impressive prank. Kaleb wasn't one to actively go in search of that kind of fun, but he could appreciate a well-thought out plan when he saw one. "I'm Mark Ebson, by the way." Kaleb glanced at him with a crooked grin. "Pleasure, mate." He straightened up and glanced over his shoulder. "A prank like that is pretty risky," he said carefully, "but we should be able to find out some spells if you really want." He turned quickly and slid through another aisle of books, not even bothering to check if Mark had followed him. His mind flashed to Meissa for a moment and he mentally cringed at what she would say if she knew he was helping with something like this. He shook it away and made his way to a specific display of books, grabbing the small one on the end and flipping it open to a random page. Meissa couldn't be too upset, right? He was just sharing knowledge. Right? Right.
