It was useless. She didn't know why she even bothered trying. Why was she even here crying? They were all the same. She knew it at one point when she hadn't bothered to fraternize but stay that little eleven year old girl she was...but what happened later just seemed inevitable. And even through that she took advantage of the fact that boys were carefree and didn't really give a damn about emotions or long term relationships. Sure, there seemed to be exceptions...ones that actually melt your heart and go to every extent of making you feel special. But no....they simply did not last. They always got bored at some point. They'd be there in the beginning cooing and courting you...but soon enough when time passes by it all gets boring. Their eyes begin to wander and they want something new. And then there are those among them that pretend to still care...stay by you when they have their eyes elsewhere...hold you when their thoughts are on someone else...kiss you when they obviously was with someone else the other night. Carlin remembered how she scoffed at the naivete of girls and how they fell for such cheap acts. It was all there...all the signs...it was so evident when the boy got bored. And hell, shouldn't they know...boys, always fast and quick, loved to have something new. They probably say they shun change but it's never true...they adore it when it comes in the shape of a new female body. No matter how sweet, sensitive and understanding they are...they were all men. And men always got bored. Fine, it does get monotonous but couldn't they just make an effort to do more things...talk, share and cuddle...couldn't they turn that to things more exciting; at least help. Noo...at the end it all just had to stop. They couldn't care less to fix...they either wanted it to go on till it reached a point where it couldn't or just shift all the responsibility to the girl and have her end it or well...the more straightforward ones just ended it. Where George fit in all this? Well...he seemed to be out of place. They hadn't been dating, of course...but they had been together. There were problems now with his stupid deal girlfriend, yes...but they could get over it together. He just didn't want to be with her anymore. He knows he did...but he doesn't think anymore. Isn't that all that his words could have meant? Nothing was just black and white...
Wiping her face dry she stomped down the corridor not bothering to look up. The anger was back again and her eyes were dry...just tingling at the sides were the tears weren't wiped off. Ugghhh...she really just wanted to get over this. It was over...it really was. She could just break down now and cry her heart out or keep at it and wait for him to come back or even better just vent and let it all out. She wished so much to do the third but she didn't quite see herself speaking to anyone just then. Anyone who came by her would get a good amount of insults and curses thrown at their faces even if they simply stood in her way. She didn't quite care that it was all just anger and she probably should control it...she never did. And lately since her emotions have been such a bumpy ride she had stopped caring completely. She didn't bother to lock up emotions...she cried imagining she was just by herself in the dorm or common room or she'd scream and shout as if no one was around. Her surroundings and the people around her just didn't seem to faze her at all...whether they could slip through that barrier she set was another thing by itself.

[[OOC: Sorry this took so long! ): ]]
Reggie was so damned bored lately. Wasn't as if there weren't people around all over the place. There were tons of them, getting in her way and being mushy in the corners and taking up the common room to study for exams like it was the study hall, so no one could be the least bit loud without getting a glare or two. No, there were plenty of people around--just no people that Reggie wanted to see. Rae was being a huge flake lately and she hadn't seen Damon in what felt like ages, or Sawyer or anyone. Beckett was hardly talking after Hogwarts and being around him just depressed her because he wouldn't even smile hardly, not like he used to. She was on the verge of looking for Dez or Richard even. At least they'd keep her from going crazy. She was not the kind of person to do well on her own. Just a whole day now, maybe eight hours, and she was scowling and grim-eyed and slapping her hands against the wall angrily around corners. Which is what she did now as she headed down to the basement, hoping to run into someone else skulking around for something better to do--or Rae, who she had a suspicion came down here to drink, though she could just be guessing that cause she knew a lot of people who did. Not her thing. She drank when she was out with friends and could hold a lot for a girl, but getting drunk on her own felt useless. Just killed you more being alone when you were blitzed.
Grumbling to herself about her damned missing twin, she wasn't paying much attention as she walked around corners, banging into things, until she nearly banged right into one of her least favorite people. She managed to skid just before impact and wheel back, her breath huffy from the shock. She made the identification instantly, and her scowl grew like a big gash in her face. Like the gash she wanted to make in Carlin's face. Her fingers clenched up and she was just about to snap off something dismissive and head off when she startled to see that the girl was crying. Had to be; it was dark down here but there was no way her cheeks were that shiny. Whatever insult was in her head didn't make it to her lips. She just kind of stood there, staring, her head cocked and her scowl now just a big confused O. Usually if she ran into Carlin she'd call her a skank or something. She wasn't really the girl's biggest fan. There was something so stuck up about her, she was like those snobby in-crowd types. Maybe not, but that's how Reggie read her and she wasn't gonna look further if she didn't have to. Only now the girl was crying and Reggie felt a little squirmy about what she'd wanted to say to her. There was something about crying that just made her angry side go poof. That didn't mean she was gonna be soft about it though. Ruffling the back of her hair, she muttered, "Heya, Hayes, whatcha goin' on about there? This ain't really a great place to be putting on the waterworks."

((no problem! I kinda miss angry, hurt Carlin...but yea, its a fail post! I'll get better!))
"Watch it!" Carlin growled but her tone clearly not as threatening as she wanted it to be. Her eyes still glistened with tears but her fists were clenched already as she grinded her teeth glaring up into the eyes of the red-head. Of all the people it just had to be this Weasley twin she bumped into. It wasn't like she got along with the other twin...but this one just seemed to get on her nerves even more. The fact that an outlet seemed to just open up just as she needed it seemed like fate had made up her mind for her. She wasn't going to be crying in a corner or running into some "friends" arms to vent...it looked like she was going to do things to give her a sore throat and probably a bruised fist. For some reason the thought of just pulling he wand out never even occured to her. All she wanted to do was let out her feelings and her emotions were coming out as rage. That bloody asshole...the way he messed with her heart was just unbearable. A part of her didn't even understand why he did it...another part just didn't want to know. She simply wanted to forget...she wanted to wipe him off her, forget him and just let it all be. But the fact that she had uttered those three words...actually said them meaninfully tugged at her heart. She simply couldn't just walk away. She couldn't just let it be. Her jaws were clenched tight and she forced her tears back not letting them fall. Hell, she wasn't going to let this girl see her in tears. Seeing the way the girl was already looking at her she knew Reggie saw something that held back her tongue. Of course...otherwise the two would have been pulling hair or throwing hexes soon enough...well, at least a couple of insults would have been thrown around just as soon as their eyes met. But somehow the girl held it back...oh no, just for a moment "Heya, Hayes, whatcha goin' on about there? This ain't really a great place to be putting on the waterworks." Ahh...of course! she just had to open her mouth and there...Carlin was even more pissed than she ever had been since she left George. The tears that had threatened to fall vanished almost instantly and she knew her limbs would get moving even before her mind had time to comprehend any of her words.
"What waterworks..." she snapped while her arm was raised to shove the girl away as hard as she could "Just get out of my way and bugger off." she opened up her palms to raise it to the Weasleys' face to push against her. The force she had was immense but the girl wasn't too bad herself. Carlin had never really gotten into a fist fight until now...she always did manage to get around to her wand if she ever lost her temper. And even that was pretty rare with her brothers around. Now..she was all alone. No Ian to control her...No George to calm her..No Evelyn to take her anger out on. "Just get out of here, a'rright..." she turned towards the girl not walking away in the opposite direction even though she had just pushed the girl out of her way. Hayes here...she was looking for a fight. A brawl. She'd be breathing down the girls neck and pulling her hair...she imagined her fists pushing rght through her face as she grabbed the girl. The two had never gotten this bad...but of course, Carlin had never been such a mess. She had always been one to snap...but just throw around catty remarks or harsh words; not to throw a punch at the very first chance she got. It wasn't like Carlin. The Carlin before George. "I swear...you don't want to get me going. I'll punch your face out." she muttered angrily...quick words in one breath. She was asking for it. Just moving towards the girl and asking for a fight when she coul deasily just walk away after having said something. No...she wouldn't. She needed to realease her anger...and this feisty red-head was just the solution.
