Hazel eyes narrowed slightly as they scanned the page of a potions textbook that was no bigger than a paperback novel. The girl stood in front of her bubbling cauldron, holding a protrusion she had picked from a bubotuber plant. One by one, she squeezed out the yellow-green pus and let it slowly drip down to mix with the contents of her pewter necessity. The concoction she was brewing was a rather simple one with ghastly effects, but they deserved it. The draught in question is close to that of muggle syrup of ipecac, but with a few extra nasty strings attached. Yes, vomiting would be inevitable, the smell of the fresh gasoline smelling pus was enough to make one wretch, but she knew a simple spell to make her brew odorless. A trick she had learned early in her fourth year, when she first picked up the habit of slipping a potion or two into several classmate’s beverages while dining in the Great Hall.
There was another side effect that she intended to inflict upon the next victim of her sly vengeance however; the undiluted bubotuber pus would cause large, yellow, unsightly boils to spread across the drinker’s body. Who was her intended victim? A seventh year Raven, whose name she didn’t even know, but he had been pegged ever since he uttered the insult ‘no-nothing useless mudblood’. Russo considered the bloke to be lucky – he was out of her reach and in the presence of a professor when the bile spewed from his mouth. Now he can taste bile, Bella thought with a smug smirk. The ex-Gryffindor was not a bully by any means and she didn’t believe in picking fights, she did however, believe in getting even.
Fair digits squeezed the last of the pus from the final protrusion and she stirred it slowly in a clockwise manner – directional conjuring of the potions active ingredients. This particular brew was to give [negative] energy and side effects, the direction would have been reversed if she were mixing a potion of a more healing, positive nature. After the thirteenth rotation she stopped stirring and went to fetch the next ingredient from her satchel on the nearby table – flobberworm mucus, the final and most important piece to the liquid puzzle. The substance, when brewed properly came out as colorless syrup, though it wasn’t abnormal for it to have a light yellow hue.
It was when her slender figure returned to her work that she heard soft footsteps from out in the hall of the dungeons. She rolled her eyes slightly, hoping that whoever it was wouldn’t interrupt her private time. The Patronus Academy might not have been as large as Hogwarts, but there were still plenty of empty, available classrooms for the person in question to choose from. Surely the stranger would know this, not only was she not in the mood for company, but she also wasn’t keen on the idea of having someone know what she was up to – especially a Raven.

This was Patronus Academy? This horrible, twenty-first century knockoff of Hogwarts with pristine hallways and shiney suits or armor? Well, the cleanness of it wasn't too bad... but really? It pretty much yelled out that it was built by those disgusting blood traitors. So light and hopeful looking. This wasn't a castle, it was a building that just wanted to be one. He wasn't a big fan of Hogwarts either, but atleast its dungeons were dark and dreary. Patronus Academy's looked like any other floor. Pathetic. Leonis didn't know what was worse, Hogwarts' horrible shifting staircases or Patronus' altogether cheery demeanor. Scoffing, he strolled out of the Raven common room with a lazy smirk dangling on his lips. And what was with that? Why did they move their living quarters up in the towers? He was just fine being in the cold dungeons. And no Slytherin? No Serpent house? What a fucking joke. Just another piss poor attempt from the good guys to try to make sure there were no more people who make the wrong decisions. It was too bad that Leonis' father had told him Minister Frost was not interested in messing with PA. He would have a foot worth of complaints already. And he had only been there for a day.
Really, he wished he didn't have to be there as graduating was just a waste of time. He could be out there right now, brewing potions that would help their cause. It was what his parents had discussed at length for the past few weeks. But finally, his mother won out. He was to go back to school for his last two years of schooling. Then, he would be able to do what he really wanted. Leonis hated it, but this was one thing they would not budge on. Especially when they mentioned something about the Mistress. Hell, if she wanted him to marry his cousin for the sake of purity, then he would shack up with her right now. She was amazing, even if he had never actually seen her. He had heard plenty about her though for the past several years, and he was determined to become her Potions Master. He would be seen as a valuable asset. He would be seen period.
He had arrived at the school just after lunch, and he was glad it was a Saturday. No classes to worry about. He would've just skived off anyway. But instead, he had searched for the one person he wanted to see. Needed to see. Isis Frost. And he had found her in the common room, though they didn't stay there for long. Several hours later, the two had exited from his dorm room. This was exactly what he had needed. He hadn't seen Isis in so long, and he was beginning to go crazy for his fix. She was snide, demanding, and a bitch. But Merlin's beard, she was a good lay. He would never forget the first time the two had met up in such a way. While he hadn't a clue whose party it was, he did know that Isis had turned him into a man under the stairs. It was bloody crazy. And brilliant.
But now that he had spent his time with the one person he wanted to see, it was time to see the one place he wanted to see. The dungeons and, more specifically, the school's potions labs. The only thing that caught his eye inside of school - for he considered Quidditch a different animal - was the subject he had excelled at for years. So what if it was the last thing his father tried to teach him since he wasn't much of anything at all the other subjects? He had found his trade at a young age, and he loved every bit of it. While he couldn't cast a petrifying charm his first year, he was able to brew several second year level potions. This was something that no one could take away from him. Something no one could best him at. No one.
Reaching what he couldn't even call the Dungeons, Leonis casually walked by every door, opening it to see if there was a cauldron laying around. He hadn't felt like bringing his own with him on this trip. He was checking everything out at the moment anyway. It wasn't until he had opened at least five doors before he stumbled upon a room that wasn't bare. But it wasn't what he was looking for either. Inside stood a girl just a bit shorter than him with red hair. At first, he thought it one of the Weasley's, but he knew them to be much shorter. And there wasn't a girl beside her that looked just like her. So no, definitely not a Weasley. Closing the door behind him, he walked further into the room, not really caring who it was. "First cauldron I've seen all day," he said with an almost excited tone. Truth be told, he was. Seeing this girl brewing made him want to do the same right that instant. Not bothering to look up to see who the girl was, he peered over the cauldron. "bubotober plant... I can tell by the color. One guess as to what you're cooking up, love." He shook his head, smirking. "Odorless, too? You seem to know what you're doing," He said, slightly impressed. As he was about to add on the improvement that she could make to the potion, he looked up and actually looked at her. Well, damn. His smirk turning into a sneer, he took a small step back. "Trying to get back at the big, bad Ravens already?"
