HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. (AP) - A husband and wife have been found cut by a chain saw and dead in a Philadelphia-area home.

Authorities say their young son reported finding them Tuesday afternoon.

Montgomery County prosecutors and Lower Moreland Township police say they're investigating one of the deaths as an apparent homicide. They haven't commented on the other death.

They say the boy reported finding his parents unresponsive and "with lacerations from a chain saw."

Prosecutor Kevin Steele tells Doylestown's The Intelligencer newspaper a chain saw was found in the home.

People who knew the couple gathered Tuesday night at their church to pray and hold a candlelight vigil.

Longtime neighbor Glenn Nathan said they were "beautiful people" and they're going to be missed.

Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday. -read more
